My summer is going to be really awesome!! First, im going to get out of school. Then as soon as school ends, my birthday is going to be coming up the 29th. Starting July 2nd, im going to be on my way with my dad driving off to North Carolina. In North Carolina, Im going to buy my very first surfboard. its going to be a blue, 7″6 NSP (new surf project) surfboard! I’ve been saving up for it for like, a year and half!! It costs $450.00 I really cant wait to get out there and start surfing on my brand new board… Im going to be returning from NC in 14 days. (two weeks) When i get back, i’ll be going with my friends for days to six flags. We’re planning on getting season passes for maximum fun! After, me and my buds are going to work at our first job. We can’t wait to start earning our first few bucks… (or just enough to buy our designer make-up) Lastly me and friends are going to just chill out downtown and around our neighborhood, and occasionally going to swim at the pool. My summer’s going to be AWESOME!!!

This article is about students not getting enough out of their school day because they do not get enough sleep because school starts too early. So this article is explaining that if students do not get enough sleep, then they will perform poorly in school and other activities in or after school. I think that what the author is saying is true because I wake up everyday for school and i feel like i need more sleep. In the article she explains how your biological clock keeps you awake until a certain time. Some schools already lengthenened the school day like in massachusetts, where they added three extra hours to the school day in order to make sure that students are learning alot of things since they have more time to do so. I like this article because I think that the author brught up a good point and I do think that students need more sleep before they go and start learning in their usual school day.Three reasons why this would be bad is, that it would be an inconvenience for some parents and teachers who have places to be at certain times, also, it would be a difficulty adjusting the after-school schedule, lastly this would be bad because, of the cost of additional bus service. In some schools they pushed back the school starting hour from 7:30 to 8:40 since then, dropout rates have decreased, atheltes have started perfoming better, and teachers have noticed an increase in attention and grades have slightly improved. In conclusion staring the school day later would be a great idea.

We have found out recently that there are giant mutant turkeys on the loose. Read on to find out more on these maniacs of terror.
The giant turkeys were first created in the University Of Maryland. Some Graduate students who go there were conducting a super secret growth hormone experiment and it came out to be to powerful and too potent and the turkeys and chickens escaped and broke out of the laboratory. 10 turkeys escaped in total including the chickens.
Now to find out allittle more about these turkeys…

The turkeys have claws. Razor sharp claws that can measure up to 12-14 inches long! The turkeys are extremely dangerous. The turkeys can run up to 60 mph!!! But… There’s one turkey that is the most dangerous…

The giant mutant turkey! The giant mutant turkey defeats all the rest. It has two human legs, two human-like hands, and it is VERY dangerous. This turkey was last spotted on the roof of Ertter’s market.
I gave you information on this extremely dangerous situation, now all YOU have to do is take cover, keep your eyes peeled, and run for your life when you spot one…
Good Luck!!

NEVER POST YOUR NAME ON YOUR BLOG!!!! FROM MRMAYO

The setting of the story is in a jail cell most of the time. There is another setting where the main character, Steve Harmon is on trial for murder. This story is about a sixteen year old African American boy named Steve Harmon in the story he accused for murder. Steve describes the mood or tone in his own words by saying in the book that it was grim, eerie, and gray. In the book, Steve talks about how awful, confusing, and downright painful it is to be in jail. Some of the ways that he talks about that is that he says, “It is about being alone when you are not really alone, and about being scared all the time.” Some of Steve’s character traits are that he is afraid and confused. What happens next in the book is that Steve goes on trial for murder and they are in court. They talk about a few things about the situation that is going on, and then they start the trial. What I think is going to happen to Steve is that he is going to struggle and struggle so that he and his lawyer win the trial so that he doesn’t have to face the horrible death penalty or, the rest of his life in jail. I also think that he might win the trial because I think that he is innocent and that the judge is bound to find that out sooner or later while the trial continues to go on.

The main idea of this article is to talk about preteens and their struggle to deal with and fight peer pressure. One of the concerns that this writer has about peer pressure is that negative peer pressure could lead to dangerous things and activities that preteens are being pressured to do. Another concern that the writer talks about is that sometimes peer pressure cannot be controlled. Like the trust in your friends of just the plain pressure to be cool. I think that it is true that in most cases, peer pressure starts in middle school because in middle school, you kind of start to grow up and have to face some rather challenging decisions. What ive seen in middle school related to peer pressure is the pressure to be cool and to dress a certain way. I first started to notice peer pressure in sixth grade because i always have recieved mean coments by my peers on the way i did my hair, the way i dress, and the overall way that i do things. I do agree that some peer pressure can be positive because i wanted to do something bad to someone else because i was mad at them but my friends said, “no! dont do it!! its not he right thing to do!!!” and i followed and did what they said. Its hard for some kids to resist peer pressure because they really really want to be cool and will do anything to be cool, and also because they really trust their friends and think that everything that they do or say, is the right thing. The way I handle peer pressure is that i try to ignore negative things. Some tips that i would give are that people really have to try hard and thhat they will reach their goal.

So they told us that you really have to focus and pay attention and not get caught up in the stuff thats not important right now. They also said that who you hang out with is really important, because they said bad people pressure you into doing bad things and if they do that, then you will always be following them and you’ll forget that what your doing in high school will carry on and stick with you for the rest of your life. They also said some stupid people think its uncool to do good in school.

Many changes occured in this book since the beginning… some of the changes were noticed in Gale. The first change that i noticed was that Gale at first he was shy and then as he got to know where he was, then, he sort of settled in, and got to know things better… Also he changed because at first he got there and he did not know Brian, but then as time goes by, and they room together, then they realize each others interests and hobbies, and by the time you know it, they are the best of buds… as we watched part of the movie in the classroom, i noticed that they both have a girlfriend which they brought with them to dinner the other night. While they were there, Gale was telling humorous jokes and messing around like never before. So i think that Brian is making a huge impact on his overall personality and mood. In the future, as Gale and Brian get to know each other even better, then Gale’s mood will improve even more…
